Summer in the Lowcountry: Sunshine, Salt Air & Making Memories

There is something special about summertime in the Lowcountry. The days seem a little longer, the sunsets are a little prettier, and life naturally slows down just enough to enjoy everything that makes Hilton Head Island and Bluffton such incredible places to call home. Whether you're spending the day on the water, riding bikes to the beach, enjoying live music with friends, or simply watching the sunset over the marsh, summer is a reminder of why so many people choose to live here year-round.
What's Happening in Our Local Real Estate Market?
As we move into the summer season, buyers continue to take advantage of the increased inventory compared to the past few years. While homes that are priced correctly are still selling, buyers have become more selective and are taking their time before making decisions.
For sellers, preparation and pricing remain critical. The homes receiving the most attention are those that show well online, offer move-in-ready appeal, and are competitively positioned in the market.
If you're considering buying or selling this year, now is a great time to start planning and discussing your options.

Summer Events & Local Favorites
One of my favorite things about living here is the abundance of local events throughout the summer.
A few favorites include:
Sunset evenings at Shelter Cove Harbour
Outdoor concerts around Bluffton and Hilton Head
Beach days at Coligny
Exploring local restaurants and waterfront dining
Boating adventures throughout the Lowcountry waterways
If you're looking for a great cup of coffee, be sure to visit Origin Coffee on Main Street. And for one of my favorite sunset spots, Benny Hudson's remains a go-to for fresh seafood and incredible views.

A Personal Summer Update
This summer has already been filled with exciting milestones.
Scarlette recently celebrated her move-up ceremony and will be heading into 9th grade this fall. It's hard to believe how quickly the years are passing, and we're excited to see all that high school has in store for her.
Matt and I also had the opportunity to take a Mediterranean cruise that included Barcelona and several beautiful coastal cities throughout France, Italy, and Spain. While the architecture, history, and scenery were absolutely incredible, it reminded me of something I hear from many of my clients after they travel: there is no place quite like coming home to the Lowcountry.
The relaxed lifestyle, natural beauty, and sense of community we enjoy here are difficult to replicate anywhere else.
