As we move further into the year, one question continues to come up: What is really happening in the real estate market? While headlines can be misleading, what matters most is what we’re seeing locally.
The Market Right Now
Buyers are reengaging. Motivated purchasers are actively touring homes again, and serious buyers remain ready to act when the right property hits the market.
Inventory is improving. More sellers are choosing to list, creating opportunity on both sides of the transaction.
Pricing is everything. Homes that are well prepared and priced correctly are gaining traction, while those that miss the mark are sitting longer.
Planning ahead gives sellers an advantage. If a move is on your radar this year, starting the conversation early allows us to position your home for maximum value.
👉 Bottom line: Opportunity exists, but success today requires thoughtful strategy.
From the Lowcountry to Capitol Hill
I recently traveled to Washington, D.C. with the South Carolina REALTORS® leadership group to advocate for homeowners and the future of real estate.
At the National Association of REALTORS® headquarters, we met with industry leaders to discuss legal updates, housing affordability, economic trends, and policies impacting property rights. We were also given a private tour of the U.S. Capitol; even riding the underground tram, before meeting with lawmakers to address housing issues affecting communities like ours. Experiences like this reinforce an important truth: decisions made at the national level directly shape our local market.

What This Means for You
Real estate is more than buying and selling, it’s about protecting homeownership and helping people make confident financial decisions.
Whether I’m tracking local trends or representing our industry in national conversations, my focus is simple: providing you with the insight needed to navigate the market successfully.
If you’re considering buying, selling, or investing this year, let’s connect and create a strategy that works for you.
